Unis Middle School

The chess club at Unis Middle school is very successful because most players are in real teams at clubs or out of school.

Sarah Saab said, “it’s a fun sport to do, especially with my friends.”

She said the team had won two tournaments the week before. She said she was inspired by “my brother Mohammed Saab, because he used to play chess and was in chess club with Mr. Bates.”

She said that she plays about two hours a day and that Mr. Bates inspires her, too, and that he is a good teacher.
